A Chance to Serve
A Memoir by Brian Power

The Exciting New Memoir
From Author Brian Power

Lt. Col. Power vividly recalls a wide range of experiences from Boot Camp at Parris Island, SC; to infantry training at Camp LeJeune, NC; to Officer training at Quantico, VA. He gives us the pros and the cons from his tour as a young lieutenant in Japan, to his Reserve experiences as a junior infantry officer, to his recall to Active Duty to attend the prestigious Naval War College in Newport, RI, to his final tour at the Pentagon where he again had been recalled to Active Duty for Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

His reminiscences over more than a quarter-century of both Active and Reserve service in the Marine Corps reflect and magnify the core values (Honor, Courage, Commitment) that the Marines are taught (and you will be exposed to a few who do not always practice them). As Lt.Col. Power grew in his career he met remarkable people, was supported with outstanding loyalty from his troops, took part in significant events, and had his heart filled with acomplishment and broken by duplicity.

But his love for the Corps remained intact.

Power weaves an engrossing tale of intriguing characters coupled with military events and highlighted by his sometimes joyous and hilarious experiences. It's a good read.

Song of Atlantis

A shocking discovery leads one scientist down a dangerous path in Brian Power’s compelling debut novel, Song of Atlantis.

When Amon Goro, master architect of Atlantis, discovers a way to harness the earth’s forces into an infinite source of clean energy, it seems destined to change civilization as we know it.

But 4,500 years later, Atlantis exploration team leader Palen Golendar is brutally captured by a Native American tribe in modern-day South Dakota—derailing any hope Atlantis held of utilizing its energy secrets.

Eight thousand years in the future, Native American anthropologist Gordon Tallbear and his team of highly skilled researchers stumble across a connection between the recent discovery of Golendar’s remains and an intricate cavern system deep in the mountains of Antarctica…a connection that finally reveals the Atlantean secret of perpetual energy.

While Tallbear and his team plan to recreate the energy source that will change the world, a wealthy group with deep ties to carbon-based fuel producers decides this newfound energy source must be destroyed—and they will stop at nothing to assassinate the researchers in order to bury what they know.

Can Tallbear’s newfound knowledge survive?
